MOBILITY MATTERS
WRITING & VIDEO CONTEST 2020

OVERVIEW

The rapidly expanding economy and burgeoning population of North Texas has given rise to longer commutes, sprawling cities, increasing congestion, and declining air quality. These worsening conditions affect every demographic of our population, but fall disproportionally on the lowest socio-economic rungs – our most vulnerable. Access to good jobs, affordable housing, medical care, fresh foods, and senior care pose growing challenges for students, young families, seniors, and the mobility impaired.

THE CONTEST

Our objective is to give college students the opportunity to tell us how they feel about transit, through either personal experiences with transit, concern for our communities and quality of life, or social justice issues. If you or someone you know has a story to tell or message to send regarding transit, we want to hear it.
